Abstract

Trigeminal neuropathic pain (TNP) differs from trigeminal neuralgia (TN) in both causation and presentation. Treatment is similar for TNP and TN when conservative, but differs when conservative therapy becomes ineffective. Trigeminal peripheral stimulation is an advanced technique that can help TNP suffers. Detailed knowledge of the relevant anatomy will shorten procedure time and decrease potential complications.
