The Texas peer education sun awareness project for children: Primary prevention of malignant melanoma and nonmelanocytic skin cancers

Abstract

Sixteen Texas elementary school students participated in a peer education sun awareness project. Upon completion of this program, student awareness about sun protection significantly improved. Peer education for elementary school students about skin cancer prevention may result in the primary prevention of future skin cancers.
