Abstract
In this paper we attempt to summarize the experience of our laboratory with respect to the question of diversity among MCF virus strains. In brief, these studies show that MCF viruses now appear to fall into two distinct categories with respect to thymotropism and leukemogenicity; these attributes correlate well with the tissue or mouse strain from which they were isolated and also with a marker involving relative plating efficiencies on mouse cell cultures.
