Abstract
The authors report 4 cases of Mediterranean Spotted diagnosed in Sicily and France during the wintertime. All of the 4 wre confirmed by serological means (Indirect immunofluorescence). One case was confirmed by demonstration of Rickettsia in skin biopsy, in another case the hemolymph test of the tick found on the patient was positive. These cases are interesting because they were diagnosed outside of the warm weather period where the tick activity is at the peak.
