Abstract
The use of computer algorithm for analyzing the cleavage pattern by mass spectrometry to map disulfide bonds was discussed. This labeling method had shown to be effective especially in mapping complicated disulfide bond patterns of adjacent cysteins. In the latest disulfide bond mapping method minimum sample preparation and computer based data analysis were used. Results show that three disulfide bonds of lysozyme and ten disulfide bonds of bovine serum albumin were easily mapped by the method without human intervention.
