Abstract
Cerebral blood flow (CBF) (Fig. 4.1) CBF is tightly regulated because the brain lacks its own stores of glucose and oxygen. With normal blood glucose and oxygen content: Normal CBF = ≥50 mL/100 g/min CBF 15-20 mL/100 g/min results in reversible ischemia CBF <10-15 mL/100 g/min results in irreversible ischemia
