Description
Congress directed HHS to leverage the infrastructure, capabilities, and expertise developed from Ebola preparedness and response activities. ASPR administered COVID-19 emergency supplemental funding to the National Emerging Special Pathogens Training and Education Centers (NETEC), RESPTCs, Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) cooperative agreement recipients and their state and jurisdiction-designated special pathogen treatment centers (SPTCs), and hospital associations to form the NSPS and prepare hospitals and other health care entities nationwide.
